Your first renewal is a different animal than year six
New licensees treat the first cycle like school still covers them. It does not.
First renewal is where CPR cards, CE certificates, and 'I thought the school hours counted' collide. Year-six therapists have a folder. New people have a Downloads pile named invoice(3).pdf.
Start the folder the week you get the license, not the week the reminder email scares you. If NYSED asks for proof, 'I did it on my phone' is not a document.
First cycle vs later cycle (habits, not a substitute for the current form)
A folder that already exists
Card expired during the cycle
You actually filed the change
Somebody else's establishment license
You know whose wall the paper is on
The first registration period is where people learn what a certificate file is.
