The 20 Eastern questions are not extra credit
Wood is liver and green. Earth is spleen and yellow. Mix those colors on exam day and you just donated points.
Candidates who fail NYS often tell the same story. Anatomy felt fine. Then a meridian clock item or a sheng-cycle mother question showed up and the room got quiet. Those 20 items are not a side quest. They are the section Western programs under-teach.
Drill correspondences until they are boring. Wood / Liver / Gallbladder / green / spring / tendons / anger. Fire / Heart / Small Intestine / red / summer. Earth / Spleen / Stomach / yellow. Metal / Lung / Large Intestine / white / autumn. Water / Kidney / Bladder / black or dark blue / winter. Do not swap green onto spleen. I have seen that error in study notes more times than I want to admit.

Meridian endings people mix up
Lung ends at the thumb (LU-11). Pericardium ends at the middle finger (PC-9). Heart ends at the little finger (HT-9). If a tip or a classmate says all three yin arm channels dump at the thumb, throw that note out.
Point math is in cun, not inches. SP-6 is point six, located 3 cun above the medial malleolus, where three yin meet. The six is the number on the chart, not a tape-measure joke.
