Draping, consent, and the ethics items people call obvious
Professional Standards is about 30% of the exam. 'I would never do that' is not an answer choice.
Ethics items fail nice people. Every option sounds like something a decent therapist might say. The key is the one that protects consent, draping, and the record, not the one that protects your feelings about being a good person.
Client wants the drape off 'for better work'
Keep the professional drape, explain, or stop
Friend asks for a diagnosis
Name a condition because you 'know'
Guardian, policy, no improvising
You made a mistake in the note
Correct it the way records are corrected
Rewrite history so you look clean
Unclear consent for a region
Ask again or skip the region
Assume the intake covered it
Read the NYSED practice guidelines once like they will be on the test, because they will. Then practice items. Reading the PDF is not the same as picking among four almost-right sentences.
Linen is a boundary, not a decoration.
